Battery backup

Energy storage plays a crucial role in the transition to a more sustainable energy future. By capturing excess energy generated during periods of high production and storing it for later use, energy storage systems help smooth out fluctuations in energy supply and demand, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and enhance grid stability. Whether you’re looking to increase self-consumption of solar energy, reduce peak demand charges, or maintain power during outages, energy storage offers a versatile solution that meets a variety of needs.

The savings will depend on the amount of energy consumed, sun exposure in the area, roofing space and what the utility company charges for electricity. In most cases, Salmo Solar aims to offset 100% of the energy, leaving the customer with a basic connection charge of $15 – $20 per month.

With a high technology and efficiency, nowadays solar panels are expected to produce energy for about 35 to 40 years.

Solar energy offers a multitude of benefits for both individuals and the planet. By harnessing the abundant energy of the sun, you can:

  • Save Money: Say goodbye to skyrocketing energy bills. Solar panels generate electricity from sunlight, reducing your reliance on costly utility companies.
  • Protect the Environment: Unlike fossil fuels, solar energy is clean, renewable, and sustainable. By going solar, you can significantly reduce your carbon footprint and help combat climate change.
  • Increase Property Value: Studies have shown that homes and businesses with solar installations are more valuable and sell faster than those without. Investing in solar is not only good for the planet, but it’s also a smart financial decision.
  • Gain Energy Independence: With solar panels on your roof, you’ll have your own source of clean energy, giving you greater control over your energy destiny and providing peace of mind in an uncertain world.
  • Obtain financial Incentives: Many governments and utilities offer incentives, rebates, and tax credits to encourage the adoption of solar energy, making it more affordable than ever.

This is a common misconception. Right now there are several programs and incentives where homeowners can simply qualify for a lower energy payment with zero money out of pocket.

Every installation undergoes an engineered plan and professional installation that is up to code approved by the county. We use all the required materials and tools to avoid any damage. When adding solar to your roof, you are adding an extra protection layer because the panels now absorb all the heat and sun rays and they can withstand winds of up to 200 mph,

Net metering is a billing mechanism that allows homeowners and businesses with solar energy systems to receive credit for the electricity they generate but don’t use immediately.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Generating Electricity: When your solar panels produce more electricity than your home or business consumes, the excess electricity is fed back into the grid.
  2. Metering: A special net meter tracks both the electricity you consume from the grid and the electricity your solar panels feed back into the grid. This meter spins forward when you consume electricity from the grid and spins backward when you export excess electricity to the grid.
  3. Credit: At the end of the billing period (often monthly), your utility company calculates the net difference between the electricity you consumed from the grid and the electricity your solar panels exported to the grid. If you’ve exported more electricity than you’ve consumed, you receive a credit on your electricity bill for the excess electricity generated.

Net metering effectively allows you to “store” excess electricity in the grid and use it later when your solar panels aren’t generating enough electricity, such as at night or during cloudy days. It helps offset the cost of electricity drawn from the grid during periods when your solar panels aren’t producing enough electricity to meet your needs, ultimately reducing your overall electricity costs.
